THE IDEA
Kasandra runs four proprietary strategies on its own server and shows their output here: GOLD ZONES (four zones around the trend where pullbacks tend to end), GOLD TETRIS (a block-based trend rule on the 15-minute chart), GOLD SCALP 5 (four zones on the 5-minute chart, fixed stop and three targets) and BITCOIN DIP (buying dips inside the trend on the 15-minute chart). US30 DOW is coming soon. The market is part of each button, so one tap picks both the market and the engine. Every signal comes with the side, the entry, the stop and the targets. The rules themselves never leave the server — the page only receives results.
ZONE STATES
- ○ armed
- trend is on, price is away from the zone — waiting for a pullback
- ◔ get ready
- price is close to the zone — an entry could come on the next candle
- ● OPEN
- a position is open from this zone · "TP1 banked" once the first target has been hit
- ⏲ back in N bars
- the zone just closed a trade and re-arms after a short pause
- ◌ inside band
- price is sitting inside the zone after a trade — it must leave before the zone can fire again
- ⊘ skipped · filter
- price touched the zone but one of the filters said no, so it was ignored
- ❄ cool-off
- a run of stops paused new entries for a while; open runners keep riding
- ⏸ filtered out
- no usable trend — the zones are off
A TRADE
- Entry
- resting order at the zone edge, filled when price touches it
- Stop
- fixed, whole position · the exact price is shown on every signal
- TP1 · TP2
- the position closes in parts at the two targets shown on the chart and in the feed
- Runner
- the rest keeps riding after TP2 until the trend turns — shown as a gold line on the chart · GOLD: its stop moves to the entry price, and a runner scratched there may re-enter at that price while the trend holds · DOW: it keeps the original stop
- GOLD · 15m only
- gold signals are taken on the 15-minute chart only, and only while the trend is fresh and the bigger picture agrees · the 1m and 5m charts show the zones for orientation
- Setting up
- price is within reach of an armed zone and the filters allow an entry: the feed shows the order to place (side, LIMIT price, stop, targets) and how far away it is · place the pending order then; it fills when price touches the zone edge
- ⇄ flip
- the trend turned while a trade was open — the trade is closed at the candle close
- TP1 ✖
- the first target was banked, then the rest of the position was stopped
ON THE CHART
- Shaded bands
- the four zones · gold-tinted band = the one closest to price
- Boxes
- open positions: red = to the stop, green = to the next target
- Tags on the right
- live stop / target / runner levels of everything open
- Markers
- ▲▼ entries · ✔ targets · ✖ stops · ⇄ flips
LEVELS (PIVOTS button)
- PP · R1–R3 · S1–S3
- classic daily pivots from the previous trading day (server time) — the pivot point and three resistance / support levels above and below it
- PDH · PDL
- previous day high and low
- ▲ ▼ swings
- swing highs and lows that price has not traded through since — a swing is the highest or lowest point over 20 candles on each side
- ⋈ in the zone table
- confluence: a zone edge sits within 12 pips (Dow 10 points) of a level — the panel lists the nearest levels above and below price with their distance
- ◆ touched
- feed line when price trades through a level (once per hour per level)
TETRIS (the second strategy)
A separate rule on the 15-minute gold chart, drawn as coloured blocks: a block is added only when a 15-minute candle CLOSES far enough beyond the last one (the block size adapts to the market, a few hundred pips lately). Same colour = the run goes on. The first block of the other colour is the signal.
- Entry
- at the close of the candle that printed the first block of a new colour — at market — and only when the bias filter allows that side (the panel says "buys only" or "sells only")
- Stop
- shown on every signal
- ½ off
- at the ½ level shown with the signal, half the position is closed and the stop moves to the entry price
- Exit
- the rest rides until a block of the opposite colour prints (closed at that candle's close). The block that ends a trade is never itself traded
- Setting up
- price is close to the level where the other colour prints and the filter allows it: the feed shows the level, the side, the stop and the ½ level
- On the chart
- green / red boxes = the blocks · dashed line = the level where the next block of the OTHER colour prints (the signal) · dotted line = where the run continues · boxes and dots as for the zones
BTC DIP (the third strategy)
Bitcoin, 15-minute chart, buying the dip inside an uptrend (and selling the spike inside a downtrend). The trend is the gold line on the chart; a dip is a sharp short-term stretch against it, measured at the candle close.
- Entry
- at the close of a 15m candle that is stretched enough below the trend line → BUY at market. Mirror above the trend line → SELL. The panel shows the exact close that would fire it
- Target
- a short distance from the entry, sized to the current volatility — about $50 to $150 on Bitcoin — shown on every signal
- Stop
- wide, rarely reached (once in two years) — shown on every signal
- Exit signal
- if neither is hit, the trade closes at the close of the first candle where the stretch has relaxed — win or lose
- Trigger levels
- the panel and the chart show the exact 15m close that would fire the next signal ("a 15m close at or below X"), so the order can be ready before the candle closes
- One at a time
- no new entry on the candle a trade closed in · average hold about half an hour, never overnight
GOLD SCALP 5 (the fourth strategy)
Gold, 5-minute chart, four zones around the trend like ZONES, but faster: the entry happens the moment a closed candle tags a zone in the direction of the trend, and the trade is managed to a fixed stop and three targets. No runner.
- Entry
- at the zone, on the close of the 5-minute candle that tagged it, only with the trend (BUY zones in an uptrend, SELL zones in a downtrend)
- Stop
- fixed, whole position · shown on every signal
- TP1 · TP2 · TP3
- three targets, each banked as price reaches it · if the stop is hit after a target was banked, the trade closes at the last banked target
- Re-arm
- after a trade the zone is off until price has moved a set distance away from it, so the same level is never machine-gunned · the monitor says "re-arm" meanwhile
- Pace
- many signals a day, short holds · use the NEWS pill: the minutes around a red release are the worst time for a 5-minute scalp
NEWS
The NEWS pill at the top right shows the next US release that moves gold and bitcoin (Fed decisions, CPI, jobs, retail sales, claims) with a countdown. Amber inside the last hour, red while the release is live. Tap it for the week ahead with forecast and previous values. Source: the ForexFactory calendar, US high and medium impact only. It is information, not part of any rule.
NUMBERS
SIGNALS entries in the loaded history · TP1 HIT share that reached the first target · RUNNERS share that reached TP2 and released a runner · TOTAL sum of all banked parts, per 1 unit of size, before spread · NET after one spread per trade. The TRADE BOOK lists every trade; TRACK RECORD is the server's own log, written to disk the moment each event happens.
Kasandra Zones shows what a fixed rule set would have done and is doing on the broker feed it is connected to. It is a research tool, not investment advice, and it does not place orders.
